According to the information gathered, the eight stars make direct reference to the month of August, signifying the club's birthdate. Even though there are eight stars, Palmeiras proudly displays a ninth red star on special occasions, symbolizing the Copa Rio de 1951 victory, considered the first-ever club World Championship.
Once I found out about the significance of the eight stars to the fans of Palmeiras, these eight stars began to feel more personal and meaningful. I had a burning desire to know how those stars impacted the fan base and learn how the team interacted with their supporters. As the true essence of these stars stood out, I grasped the need to not only celebrate their meaning but also utilize this symbol to strengthen fans' connections with the club.

Taking a look at current trends in the Brazilian football market reveals a heightened nostalgia among supporters – be that a reflection of the era in which they watched their beloved club, an emblem from years gone by or, as presented in my project - the iconic eight-star Palmeiras crest. Therefore, future endeavors encompassing the eight-star Palmeiras crest can capitalize significantly on this notion, reaching out in creative and engaging ways to a growing and receptive fanbase.
Now looking back on my endeavor, the success achieved through empowering this unique connection evoked a realization that the unassuming star engraved into the Palmeiras' crest carries a meaning, symbolism, and psychological impact unparalleled by its simple geometric appearance. In parallel with engaging the fanbase and promoting "Verde e Branco Stars" memorabilia as a palpable element recognizing community members' passion, incorporating this insignia deeper into the club's ethos lays a strong foundation. Serving as a promise of enduring bonds between club and fan, the true essence of the Palmeiras' eight-starred crest will breathe life into all future fan engagement initiatives.
